Psychometric Tests are useful tools in today's workplace. Not only do they provide a scientific basis for selection and development of employees, they also save incredible time and cost given their ability to assess candidates rapidly and objectively. However, these benefits disappear if the tools are not used properly. It's important for all users of a test to understand the basic principles of psychometric assessment generally, in addition to how the test works, how to interpret it, report and make decisions based upon the test. In order to ensure that all users of the Apollo Profile are competent to use it, PsyAsia International and the Apollonean Institute require users to demonstrate their competence by way of one of the routes below. |

| ROUTE 1 |
"I have no formal
qualification in psychometric tests."
In that case, you would need to
attend both days of the training
outlined below. Alternatively, it
would be a wise investment to consider
attending our Psychometric
Assessment at Work course and
gain an internationally recognised
qualification from the British Psychological
Society (BPS Level A and B). All
attendees on our Psychometric Assessment
at Work Course Level B will be qualified
to use Apollo following the course. |

| ROUTE 2 |
"I hold the
BPS Level A Certificate of Competence
in Occupational Testing (or something
very similar)."
If you hold Level A, you may omit
the Psychometric
Test Administration part of
the training outlined below, but
will need to (a) attend the Apollo-specific
training or (b) join the Apollo
Distance Learning and then remotely
sit and pass the accreditation exam
(note, if you do not pass the exam,
you will need to attend the Apollo-specific
part of the workshop outlined below).
In addition, you will need to send
us a video-CD which shows you competently
conducting an Apollo Profile feedback
session with one candidate. If you
currently hold BPS Level B and you
gained this from PsyAsia training
from June 2010 onwards, you are
already qualified to use Apollo.
If you gained your Level B from
an alternative provider or from
PsyAsia before June 2010, you will
need to join the Apollo specific
training outlined below. |

| ROUTE 3 |
Online Learning
Option for those with no background
in Psychometric Tests
You may opt to attend our Live,
Recorded or On-Demand Psychometric
Test Administration Training,
followed by our Live (see Workshop
Format above) or Distance
Learning for the Apollo Profile.
You will be required to submit and
pass an end of course exam for both
(note, if you do not pass the exam,
you will need to attend the Apollo-specific
part of the workshop outlined below).
In addition, you will need to send
us a video-CD which shows you competently
conducting an Apollo Profile feedback
session with one candidate. |

| The Apollo Accreditation Workshop is for human resource professionals, line managers, supervisors, consultants, psychologists, training managers, counsellors and anybody who needs to use the Apollo Profile to assess people at work or those about to embark into the working world. The workshop is structured in an easy to understand and highly interactive format making it accessible to the majority of individuals working in this field. |

Tyler, an organisational psychologist
specialising in assessment of people
and maximisation of performance at work.
PsyAsia reserves the right to replace
the facilitator noted here with another
